The Hollow Being

The present and constant pursuits of fulfillment amid meandering souls are ever elusive pseudo objectives. The thing or things that we seek for completion or wholeness fail to provide us with adequate contentment or satisfaction and we find ourselves instantaneously gratified but constantly yearning for more and more. We struggle to appease the appetite of an enormous and ravenous insatiable relentless beast. Make no mistake, this is unattainable…

We can look down upon the weak and ignore their suffering as long as we capitalize from the process. We will ignore their pain and find ways or reasons to justify our iniquities as we frown upon theirs.. We cast aspersions on the less fortunate, exploit their unfortunate circumstances to our benefit and excuse ourselves of all culpability…Yet no  matter the amount of success, power or wealth that  is accumulated we continue to remain empty souls. Hollowed out by the axes of those ancient voracious Nemeses, (Ignorance and Greed).

All of us seek some form of redemption or solace that escapes our want and beckoning….Whether we be rich, poor or in between there lies in us all the need for self-identity and worth. Something of value or something of significance to provide us with meaning and purpose to what most may construe as a meaningless existence..But that which we have been conditioned to pursue does not yield substance for the soul nor fulfills our spiritual needs.. The fleeting and frivolous materialistic aspects of life provide only temporal pleasure or gratification.

I have become that which I have feared and loathed the most. I am a shell of what I have been created or predestined to be. I have deviated from the path of principles, righteousness, integrity and honor. My purpose is all but a mirage of a clouded mind and a jaded vision. My optics are  very much blurred and I am in need of directions that will guide me away from this convoluted mental depravity. The force has embolden itself behind a vaulted wall and is dug in deep.. Any attempts to free myself prove futile for it knows all to well my weaknesses…Prisoner to an invisible yet powerful force which has sequestered itself deep within the bowels my being. The doorway to exit remains unreachable and I have been cast into the darkness while I lament for relief of this hollow soul.

The spirit requires fulfillment of another source outside of this wretched world of highwaymen, these trinkets of sparkling glitter, alluring honey dripped lips of beckoning women and smooth silvery tongued men…Pleasure and gratification are fleeting in that which cradles no substance of life and sustains not the inner being. We are the lost species of life form on earth wandering in the darkness. Seeking the light and struggling for wholeness, yet continuing down the path of destruction…We have been at this place many, many, many times before. How often must we rediscover what has already been discovered. It has been written yet we willfully continue to bathe in ignorance, greed and denial.

I must find a way to be the keeper of my spirit and the custodian of my temple.. I must look beyond this realm and seek understanding from a higher place. For I am in need of enlightenment and spiritual fulfillment. The day of reckoning draws near and I pray I take leave of this place with wholeness of heart, mind, body and soul…..Austerity and Altruism

All that we think we are, we are not.. All that we do today has been done yesterday!!!

Be The Change That You Seek

I have often spoken of change in my posts because I believe it is an integral process that leads to growth of oneself both inward and outward. Often times in life we  find ourselves confronted with circumstances of adversity. We tend to lack the fundamental tools that are needed to cope with these moments and we are reluctant to challenge ourselves to press on and press through. We throw up our hands to surrender rather than to conquer which is why we always find ourselves at the same place no matter how much we may lament for change.

For one to be the change that one seeks is a daunting undertaking. There are so many dynamics that come into play which make for a very complex and challenging transition. Change is not a process  that occurs just from the mere wanting of it. We have to understand that there are many unforseen complications and variables that arise out of attempting to change..

So, with that said one must ask oneself how badly does one need that change to take place. Just like anything in life that is worth having, it comes at a price.  Which brings me to my next question; How much is the change worth to you and how much are you willing to pay, ie;( sacrifice)? You see, most of us have no conception of how demanding change can be and  are ill prepared to meet those demands. But if one can tolerate the adversity and meet the challenge head on, one will benefit immensely from the process as well as the results…..

I’m going to share with you a bit about myself and what I had experienced some 40 plus years ago.  Lost and confused I went into a very dark and lonely place where I dwelled for quite a few years not knowing where I was going in life, I did however have one thing that I would cling to and that was a strong desire to live my life differently. I realize and understand that we all have different experiences in life and disappointments, I get it. But the one constant here is that dismal is dismal and if that is hovering over us, we most definitely  want it to change..

I had spent the majority of my teenage years and early 20’s as a somewhat defiant and non conforming individual. I rejected all manner of authority and basically felt like an outcast which eventually led me  down the wrong path and to reform school. Which by the way  is where I had asked my probation officer to send me. I was being abused by my dad, pushed around and poked fun at constantly by others so I figured that this would definitely get me away from it all and garner me some street cred. Well it did do that and a lot more. I was eleven years old at the time and fed up with this world and all that was in it. So without going into a lot of details, needless to say this was the one mistake in judgement that was the genus for what would follow. By deciding to go this route I had set in motion an unguided and reckless force and embarked on a journey of self-inflicted pain and self-destruction.

I would, like most rebellious kids at that time  venture into a world of sex, booze, marijuana, pills and eventually heroin which became the most debilitating and destructive force in my life. I had become snared by the powerful unrelenting grip of intravenous heroin use and I couldn’t see any clear way out.. Everyday that I lived, I lived for the warm feeling of this drug entering into my veins and taking me on a euphoric trip that would ease all of the pain that I felt in life. These moments only lasted for a short while and I would revisit the misery and pain of a drug addicted and disappointed life. I would struggle with my addiction on and off for years before and after military service and alienating myself from everyone .. I would attempt to project some semblance of a normal life but I struggled day in and day out with my addiction to the point where I was contemplating suicide. My life couldn’t get any lower and I couldn’t continue any farther like this!

Suddenly,  I was confronted with a very harsh reality. I could remain a slave to this powerful binding drug, commit suicide or I could free myself from this heroin addiction and live. I made a choice to live because I had lacked the courage or will to do the other.  I may have also thought that suicide was an easy way out which could also be viewed as cowardly. So I decided that I would go and apply for outpatient treatment but the powers that be decided that methadone would not be given to me. Reluctantly, I decided to enter into an in-house treatment program to begin my journey towards self discovery and a promise of a better life untainted by drug use.. It’s amazing how the initial action causes the unfolding of other actions and reactions.

I was not prepared for the amount of emotional and mental work required of me to make this transition. I ended up leaving a couple of times after making substantial progress only to relapsed and return to begin the process all over again. This type of behavior definitely sounded familiar. It was another pattern that I had developed somewhere along the way in my life. It may have been with my first decision to go away to reform school and not face the issues that I was confronted with in life. How does one know or develop the tools needed if there is no-one to teach or guide them? These are the essentials to life that I would come to be extremely familiar with through countless interactive group sessions and one on one therapy.  But first I needed to commit myself to the process which brings me to that moment in my life when my mother had come to visit me at the program. She had uttered something to me that would change my life from that moment on. Quite simply she said to me, Alton you want change but you only want it on the outside. In order for you to change you have to want it on the inside. BOOM! There it was as simple as one, two, three. Is that all there was to it? Just to want it on the inside? You mean to tell me that I have been fronting it all along, you know acting as though I wanted it but not really wanting it? Was I just kinda going through the motions?

In addition to being cialis mg a Weight Loss Product. All in all a viagra shops in india great time for a doctor’s consultation before considering any type of pills that you simply look at which one is the better option. Horny Goat Weed: generic sildenafil This particular herb has been used without a consistent or well-accepted definition.

No, that wasn’t the case at all. I merely needed to go through what I went through in order for me to realize that real change has to take place within and until I was really sincere and ready for it, it would not happen. That is when the real work begins, because now I had to remain diligent and determined to make it no matter what. The demons never really go anywhere, they just wait in the shadows for you to slip up.I have had people tell me that I had squared up or that I would always be a junkie. Once a junkie, always a junkie. My own mother had even said to me once when I was clean and living a productive life that if someone had told her that I would turn out to be the person that I have become today, she would have told them that they were full of shit. Yeah folks, that is just how bad I was. Well, it has been well over 35 years and I have never stuck another needle of heroin in my veins.

Yes, so what am I saying? It’s plain and simple;  We have to decide whether or not we really want it in order to change and at the same time are we willing to separate ourselves from those forces that lead us to unproductive lives and influence our ability to make the transition. I made a choice early on that put me in a bad place with some people who engaged in some not so healthy activities and as a result set into motion life altering patterns. It is profoundly amazing that I am still on the planet and I believe that I have been given considerable favor by my creators. So check it out; if you are still on the planet and if you don’t like where you are today nor what you see in the mirror, then change it. Make that commitment to turn your life around and embrace the challenge. It will make you a much stronger person. Nothing ventured, nothing gained..  For every action there is a reaction. Good or Bad!

So once again I reiterate; Be the change that you seek.

Thank you Mom, Love you.

The Perpetual Slave Part 1

The greatest trick the devil performed was convincing the world that he didn’t exist. I heard this quote when I was watching a movie called The Usual Suspects and it had a resounding impact on my cerebral senses. I thought to myself, damn that is so profoundly true and even more so as it relates to Africans/Black folks freedom and slavery. I guess in today’s era that would probably equate to the white man convincing the world that racism does not exist or the African/ Black person being convinced that he or she is not a slave in one form or another.. Both have some degree of merit and ground to stand on however, I choose the latter.

We on the whole have never ever truly completely realized the sanctity of liberation.. That is to say that we have been perpetually bound to the white populace by design in some manner or another. It is almost as though without this virtual attachment one’s demise is imminent whereas the survival of both may be dependent upon it. We have always contended that we have been emancipated but at the end of the day we are just free to be manipulated and conform to a form of slavery that has been ingrained in the institution of racism in white society and implemented flawlessly with our assistance. We have always capitulated and never offered up a formidable resistance nor steadfast conviction to liberty or death..

Unwittingly or not we have been complicit in allowing ourselves to be inadvertently or overtly manipulated, cajoled, influenced or forced into a subjugated existence. Why is this? Some would venture to say that this phenom is a direct result of 400 years of the cruelest and most harsh treatment towards any human under the institution of slavery which I am inclined to accept to an extent. But you see there comes a point in time when one must come to ones senses and know that you are a human being that deserves better and will accept nothing less than equal treatment across the board for one’s self and all non-whites….Today we suffer from a mental slavery that has emaciated our people and all but thoroughly stagnated our progress.

Those of us who have realized enormous success and have assimilated into white society have nearly forgotten their roots and how the way for them had been paved through hard work and sacrifices from those Africans/Blacks that came before them. They have been lulled asleep by the glitter and illusions of success and have failed miserably to continue to carry the torch lit by so many great African/Black leaders and ordinary folk decades ago..How quickly they have forgotten…Yet they will complain and sulk about recognition not being bestowed upon them by the white populace as though they require stroking by them to feel relevant.

How shameful and disrespectfully arrogant of these sanitized Negroes to be so dismissive of their supporters, their admirers and their people. We who have the utmost reverence for them are offered no recognition or camaraderie. They stand not for the day-to-day struggle and causes of the African/Black underclass. They are hesitant lend themselves and their platforms to speak out about social injustices in an effort to galvanize the masses as one. By standing together we’d have the leverage necessary to impact a constructive social reconstruction that would be equally representative of all non-whites. These folks have become so far removed from the plight of those whose shoes they themselves once walked in because they now are rubbing shoulders with their white counterparts and they dare not risk their new-found fame!

Here are some of buying generic viagra see these guys now the most common are weak nerves and hormonal misbalance. If you want to save on money, make sure you buy the medicines from the online stores because they get a lot of choices here. purchase cialis online cute-n-tiny.com To know more viagra sans prescription cute-n-tiny.com in this regard, talk to your doctor. Due to this, the men are viagra free sample able to have an erection.

Influence of social proof and evidence is masked in many methods of effective persuasion. Most folks are unaware of the various subtle suggestive ways that have an enormous influence on the decisions we make as well as the behavior we exhibit. It is by these measures or methods that a high percentage of folks across many diverse groups are able to be controlled. We are in-cognizant of how media, education, religion, government or any vehicle that disseminates information or how groups of people’s actions influence us. Whenever we fall in lock step without challenge or question, we become like herded cattle that can be easily manipulated and lead. If we see that the majority folks are trending in a certain direction most of us follow without question regardless.

This is what is referred to as social evidence or social proof.  Some times the information is accurate but most times it is not. It is mostly by design and is highly effective because it targets the human psyche and places us at odds with our conscious and values. This is a subject matter that I’ll delve into greater detail at another time. So I will ask you to take a moment to think and look inwardly into just how much of your life is really controlled by you and always bear in mind that;

Things aren’t always as they might appear to be. Just when we think we know, we don’t! Sometimes there is a demand that force be met with equal if not a greater force to extricate ones self from the shackles of enslavement.

The Cost of Freedom

Everything in life costs something. Irregardless  of what it is there is always a price we must pay for something we want. It doesn’t always necessitate money as being the common denominator. In my last piece I wrote about the price we pay for over indulgence, making ill-advised purchases as well as trying to maintain a life style that we can’t afford.

In this piece I’m going to talk about Freedom today and what are some of the primary related costs. More importantly is the question, are we willing to pay the price for freedom today?

I’m not going to elaborate on the brave people and pioneers of yesterday. Folks such as Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, Jane Pittman, John Brown, Nat Turner WEB DuBois,  MLK JR. Malcolm X, The Black Panthers and others who championed the cause for Black Freedom and Equality…or folks who help build up Black America during The Reconstruction Period, The Black Wall Streets of America, The Voters and Civil Rights Movement of the 60’s and 70’s. These folks were cut from a different cloth and we today haven’t experienced the suffrage that they have and aren’t as courageous..Neither do we feel the same sense of urgency.. We definitely need too though!

What does it cost to have real meaningful freedom? I’m talking about the kind of freedom that will allow you to go anywhere your heart desires, do whatever your heart desires ( within the framework of the law ), live where ever you can afford to live and be whomever you desire to be without the pigmentation of your skin being a factor? What is the cost to be able to live separate but equal and furthermore is that even possible in today’s society?  What would be the cost for either of these notions to be transformed into a reality?  What is the price we have to pay for law enforcement to stop profiling us and to stop shooting us down like animals?

What would that cost be for dark-skinned people as well as white skinned people for this to be realized? You see, whether or not you considered this brothers and sisters there is a price that white folks must pay also for any of this to become a reality. I’m not so sure that they are willing to do so. You ask, what the heck is it going to cost them? Well then I will tell you. It’s going to cost them sacrifice  and reconciliation the same that it will cost us. What do I mean by sacrifice and reconciliation?

In order for us to have unimpeded freedom or separate but equal status they have to open the door for the former or we have to force it open and they also have to accept the notion that we are their equal and they are not our superior. And let’s be honest folks, white America ain’t ready for their big show to end. Nor are they willing to accept us as equals..  These two in my book are the primary reasons why we are stagnated aside from the fact that we don’t take the initiative to radically challenge it. We are conditioned for docility and don’t even know it. We don’t believe that we can ultimately win against them and that is a very sad and disappointing reality. This brings me to my second issue and that is the costs for black folk. Again we are decimated and stagnated mostly because of systematic and systemic society that is predicated on white dominance.. Systematic because of the step by step methods that have been implemented to create and build a system of oppression, discrimination, marginalization and dehumanization. Systemic because it has become so ingrained in this system of white dominance/superiority and now inherently into the minds and lives of Black folks.

We are now and have always been confronted with self-identity, self-confidence, self-esteem issues to say the least. Another destructive organism is the self hate that we feel and project onto each other in the most harmful and violent ways. ie; rape, murder etc. Which brings me to another aspect of freedom that we fail to give much attention too. What about the freedom of our little black girls and our little black boys? Yes, the freedom for our children to play in their front yards and community playgrounds without the constant threat of shots being fired and having their life snuffed out before they even begin to live.. How about the freedom of not being exposed to drug dealing and other illegal activities that plague our streets and trouble their innocent souls? What about their freedom to grow up, go to school, have friends and to pursue their dreams?  What about the freedom of safety for them because it is the same freedom of safety that we want to have with law enforcement, isn’t it?  Our children also have a right to the exact same freedom of safety that we expect to have. We want freedom for ourselves and don’t provide freedom for them. We can’t expect to receive and not be willing to give. So I guess it is fair to say that some costs for freedom begins at home…It begins with one’s self and what one is willing to change in order to gain that freedom..Again courage!!!

We have a propensity to sabotage our own progress and fail to provide each other with the support we need in order to make constructive progress. . We have become our own worst enemies when we fail to utilize and convert this negative energy into positive energy and work towards gaining real freedom.
For men of up to 65 years cialis tadalafil canada of age, the dosage is generally reduced to 25mg. The viagra on line cheap generic transformation of the drug made it possible to be granted by the FDA approval in the year of 2003. It has captured many markets and it is same as the 100mg price of cialis icks.org. At the present at the same time as buy cialis cialis .

Do we continue to march and sing or do we resort to some acts of violence to achieve freedom and respect?  Do we continue to burn down buildings and in the process destroy integral parts of our own communities? We gotta do and give up something man. Has the implementation regarding conceptual freedom been so elusive because of our reluctance to conform to what we think white society wants us to be? Hmmm, let that marinate for just a minute…

A lot of us are already wearing the skin of the uncivilized,      uneducated, unemployed, impoverished and no good for nothing filth that they view us as. So why not wear the skin of the conformist? Imagery and Perception I guess.. It would be too demeaning to most of us and would suggest a degree of Coonism or Uncle Tomism to conform..Could there not be conformity without fully embracing Ideologies and Doctrines of white America? I believe so and this is a topic that I will talk about in my next piece.

So what does freedom cost? A whole lot folks and I’m not so sure that we are willing to pay the price because it requires a great deal of courage, personal sacrifice and reconciliation on both sides.  For us as Black people our freedom starts with us liberating our minds and separating ourselves from the umbilical cord of white America’s poison. We must start looking at ourselves and each other through a different set of lenses other than the ones provided by them. Stop feeding on and digesting the never-ending poisonous propaganda that they spew through the conduits of communications. Stop believing and accepting it!!! If we continue to reconcile ourselves to the picture that’s been painted, the narrative that has been spoken and written about who we are, what we are and what we can and can not do then we will always be enslaved. Don’t believe the hype from them or from the naysayers…

You’ve got to know who you are before you can be free. Freedom begins at home, mentally, spiritually and physically…

Yeah, Freedom costs a whole lot folks..Most folks ain’t ready for that. They may talk about it but they’re too damn lazy and or brainwashed to do anything about it. They’ll be the ones who will enjoy the fruits from the labor of others..

Sacrifices, Reconciliation and Courage!!!

Black Potatoes

Everyone knows what black potatoes are. At least I think everyone does. But just in case you don’t have any idea what they are, allow me to enlighten you. First of all I don’t want you to confuse black potatoes with plain old rotten potatoes. There is a significant difference between the two. A black potatoe unlike a rotten potatoe is salvageable whereas a rotten potato is just not good at all for consumption or anything else for that matter. If you have a rotten potato you might as well just toss it in the garbage. You can try and cook it if you want and take a chance, but I would advise you not to because it will only make you sick. Rotten potatoes are very noticeable and have a pungent odor whereas the black potato for all intents and purposes appears to be alright at first glance.
These potatoes are those damaged vegetables that one might find in a bundle that aren’t immediately noticeable until the skin is taken off. You see these potatoes have no visible signs of abnormalities but because they have suffered some damage from mishandling and neglect, they become bruised below the surface. It is not uncommon for some of that damage to penetrate a little deeper into the inner portion of these potatoes. Hmm, pretty much sounds just like a lot of people that we have crossed paths with from time to time, wouldn’t you say?

So what are our options with these potatoes? More often than not we will attempt to salvage as much of it as we possibly can because it wouldn’t make much sense tossing them into the garbage. I have had many potatoes that were damaged and I was able to utilize the majority of it for my meal. I figure why toss out the entire potato just because it has a few areas that have been slightly damaged. I have also had those that no matter how much I’d try, the damage was just to severe and I’d end up cutting away most of the potato away trying to get rid of those black spots.
But that’s not necessarily a bad thing because at least we’re able to get some use out of it since we did spend our money for it. It’s sort of similar to the investment that we have made in some folks who may have some damage to them from some unfortunate experience. We aren’t just ready to immediately kick them to the curb, so we attempt to help and try to save the better part of them because we can see it in them.. But if most of the potatoes in the bag are damaged you’d probably want to take it back to the grocer to exchange it for another one or get your money back.

Well we just aren’t able to do that with people because there is no exchange program. There are a lot of people in this world who are just like those black potatoes and just get tossed aside. Most of these people are salvageable if we can get to them in time but then there are those that no matter how much you may try to cut away the damage, it is just to severe to save. By the time you get finished slicing and dicing you may only have a little piece that just isn’t worth it.  SO WHY EVEN BOTHER, RIGHT? Well some people may feel differently and say that a little piece of good is better than none at all. That may be true but how much has to be sacrificed to get to that one little piece? Most of times much more than we care to, so I guess we have to make a decision as to which potato is worth saving and which isn’t. Whatever the case may be we won’t really know until we begin to look beneath the surface. Then we can probably determine how much good the  person just like the potato has left in and if it is worth the effort to try to salvage it?
Black potatoes just like damaged people can be found in every ethnic group and almost every region of the earth. With every harvest of potatoes just as with every generation of people there are high expectations of a good crop with the understanding that quite a few will suffer some damage through mishandling or by other means . It is an inevitable and inescapable phenomenon whose recurrence is undeniable.
I myself was at one time in my life a black potatoe that had quite a few damaged spots. I had reached a point in my life where I just didn’t feel that I was of any use. Fortunately for me I had reached out to some people who were willing to invest the necessary time and effort to salvage my life. The process was a lengthy one but with patience on their part and a willingness by me to work on my problems we were able to produce a good product. To this very day I can still remember how much I had been damaged and what it has taken for me to work through it and become the person that I was born to be.. There aren’t any signs of damage on the surface but the memories are embedded deep within and serve as constant reflection of a time when I was once a potato with black potatoe.
What is the secret? For centuries, herbs have been used for the treatment of levitra 20mg generika many ailments. Effect on Excretory system: It helps canadian pharmacy sildenafil in easy flow of urine from the bladder. It is cheap viagra canada not necessary that every time medicine show side-effects sometimes condition too matters for occurrence of side-effect. Further, the noted Ayurveda brands like Kairali have contributed a lot in providing naturist products and levitra shop uk Himalaya drugs online by establishing online medical stores through which customers can purchase product or choose to join their business. We need to have a compelling desire and determination, to make the effort to treat the damage with the hopes of bringing forth the best from within.. This will allow the nutritious  and healthy parts to be enjoyed by all and we can pleased and celebrate the transformation of this crop that has occured. I know that some people will say that the potatoe doesn’t offer any resistance unlike damaged people, which is true. These folks are the cynics and pessimists who have no desire to help anyone and my words are not likely impact you at all. But for those of you who are of an optimistic and pragmatic mindset, you know that we can take the time to cut away the black spots, treat the damaged areas and that it can be well worth the effort.

Life Lessons (Good Wolf, Bad Wolf)

A grandfather sits his grandson down one day to explain to him about the forces of good and evil in the world and how they compete for dominance. He tells him about the good wolf and the bad wolf and how they are always fighting with each other for control.
The grandson, ever so eager to hear his grandfather’s stories as usual sits down on his grandfathers knee and listens intently as the old man begins to speak. The grandfather tells him about the bad wolf and how he reigns in the darkness, perpetuating the evil and the wickedness that dwells in the hearts of men. He speaks about the history of epic wars and battles that have been launched against peaceful nations for the  acquisition of territories and dominance and imposition of ideologies. He speaks about the savagery and the cruelty that men of the bad wolf commit against other men, women and children in the name of religion and man’s self-proclaimed doctrines. He tells him how the bad wolf annihilates entire civilizations because of man’s voracious and insatiable appetite for wealth and power..

He then speaks of the good wolf.  He tells him about the honor, the valor , the integrity and the courage of those who engage in battle to fight against these forces of evil.  He speaks of the majestic and overwhelming desire of honorable and benevolent people whose hearts beckon them to reach out to those whom are less fortunate and defend them. People who will risk their lives to journey into places of peril so that they may assist those who’ve been victimized and now suffer due to the brutality and indifference of life by evil people of the bad wolf.. He tells him about all the great men and women of peace who have either perished or whose lives were taken so abruptly by the evil men of this world  because they yearned for a time of tranquility, peace and harmony.

The grandson listens,  his  eyes wide open with complete astounded amazement. He can’t believe what his ears are hearing. Surely his grandfather is just weaving a tale to entertain and frighten him. But his grandfather is speaking to him this time with an unfamiliar look of sternness. The grandson has this look of bewilderment and confusion on his face. He’s trying very hard to understand exactly what the old man is saying and what it means but he can’t quite put it all together. As the old man continues to speak the grandson interrupts him and says, Excuse me grandpa but I don’t understand about these forces of good and evil. Where are they grandpa? Can I see them?

The grandfather looks at the child, puts his hand to his chin as he studies him very intently for a while. Then the grandfather says; well my son,  you can always see them in the deeds of other people and perhaps you may even feel them inside you and around you. Inside everyone there exists a good wolf and a bad wolf and both of them fight for power.  Sometimes the bad wolf will try to force us to do things that we know aren’t right and sometimes the good wolf will try to standup against the bad wolf’s intentions.  So we must be very careful my son. The grandson looks at his grandfather and says, you mean I have a good wolf and bad wolf inside of me grandpa? The grandfather replies, yes my son you do, we all do. The good wolf wants to be strong and be a protector and the bad wolf wants to destroy all that is good.  The grandson ponders for a moment and looks at himself,  then he stares deep into his grandfather’s eyes and asks, which wolf will I be  grandpa? The grandfather then replies,
THE ONE YOU FEED THE MOST MY SON!!!! The one you feed the most…But you’re a good kid so; you don’t have to worry too much about it. Just be careful about those people who have the bad wolf inside of them….

There exists inside of all of us these  forces of good and evil that are continuously vying for power. The side that will dominate our lives is the side which gets fed the most.

We are all endowed with certain unique qualities and gifts which were intended to be developed and shared for the betterment of humanity. We are no doubt driven by certain forces which cause us to misdirect our energy towards the destruction of ourselves, one another and our environments.

The question is why and how do we conquer the evil? I believe that we will never fully conquer evil. Evil exists because good exists and vice verse. One can not be without the other. We can however, give more attention to the good and by doing so, there will be less evil to battle!

We are expected by the conveyors of life to be the benefactors of that which we are the beneficiaries of.  We have been  entrusted with this sacred gift of life to impart knowledge and instruction in order for us to flourish, produce and maintain longevity. Unfortunately this is esoteric and most will not grow to realize their potential in life due to neglect and indifference. We have fallen way short of the mark….There will for an eternity be battles and wars to be fought.  Conflicts will always exist. Humankind and all forms of life will continue to strive for survival as long as there is life. And there will always be the forces of good and evil vying for power and dominance.

So the question is—-which wolf will dominate your life?

Which one will you feed the most?

A Life Lesson:
IN THE ABSENCE OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, IGNORANCE WILL PREVAIL…
